The past few months may have brought new ideas, fresh energy, and moments of personal awakening. We keep moving and moving then we may, or may not, begin to notice changes in ourselves, shifts in priorities, and perhaps even new directions we want to pursue. But is keep on moving always the right way?

A Year of Becoming series with Anouk Marie-Ange, a monthly reflection series we created as a space to reflect, then explores the shifts we experience in our daily lives. The message from the card:

Listening is an art form. It asks you to be present, to let each moment unfold without needing to define it. Let go of needing clarity or conclusions. Stay with what is unfolding. You can hold space for others without carrying their experiences as your own. There is a lightness in not needing to react or respond. Only to be here.

What you can reflect:

In our daily lives, we rush to respond to messages, explain our feelings, or make sense of situations before we've fully processed them. Over time, this habit can create noise that makes it harder to understand what we truly think and feel.

This month invites you to slow down that process. Instead of immediately reacting, try creating space to observe first. Notice what comes up before you try to fix it. Notice how often you take responsibility for emotions, situations, or outcomes that may not belong to you.

Listening is often associated with other people, but sometimes the hardest person to listen to is ourselves.

In a year centred around movement and renewal, listening reminds us that not all progress comes from doing ‘more’. Sometimes growth begins by paying closer attention listen what feels true to our heart.
